* I love being a Dad!!
* We gave away Rockstar energy drinks to everyone and we gave away a grill to one Dad - that was a lot of fun!
* Tried to go eat at Bridges, which is one of my favorite Italian places, but they had one waitress for the whole restaurant - who made the schedule for that day? Not very smart!!
*Sunday evening Tammie wanted me to rent whatever I wanted and we would watch it together. I got Rambo: First Blood Part II - amazing!!
* She stayed awake for the whole thing - great wife!!
* We went downtown Sunday afternoon and walked around, got ice cream and window shopped. I love the downtown area!
* I love to hear the stories of life change in our church!
* Can't wait to start our next series called OUTLAWS - just saw the design work for it - by far my favorite up to this point.
* God is really stretching me right now in a good way, but it's kicking my tail and that's not fun - but I need it!!
* Some really cool things planned for this fall!!

Monday Relfections (quick hits)

I am about to leave the house to spend the day with the family at Lake Anna.

* Powerful day yesterday!
* We had a n ice cream truck outside waiting for everyone as they left - it even played the old school music like when we were kids. Nice way to kick off a sunny Memorial Day weekend.
* The worship was intense - I am loving the new song How He Loves.
* We strew out blow up instruments during the closing song. You had to be there - it was tons of FUN!
* Next week is going to be one of those weeks you don't want to miss. It's also our last Sunday at Parkside.
* We have the greatest volunteers in the world!
* We had a ton of people sign up yesterday to start volunteering who currently are not volunteering. Super excited about that!
* Gotta run!

Monday Reflections on Thursday

* FUN day on Sunday - Tammie and I team taught, she did a great job and was a natural.
* While it was fun it also felt odd. I couldn't put my finger on it, no major issue just felt odd.
* There is not enough money out there to pay the production team what they are worth. The computer crashed before the service but somehow they managed to transfer the files to a backup computer and have words on the screens for the first song - AMAZING!
* We had the red carpet rolled out for Mom's and we also gave them custom made chocolates as they left.
* The band introduced "Glorious God" - amazing song.
* We had 12 baby dedications on Sunday.
* My friend and groomsmen Matt was in town with his family - had a great time hanging out - they have an Owen to but I had the name first :)
* Both services were PACKED - this move to Chancellor High School couldn't have come at a better time.
* I am so blessed to do what I do!!
* Owen is the best!! He is now doing animal sounds like what does a dog and cat say. I love it!!
* It's been a year since my grandmother passed away - hard to believe!
* It's been a year today since Dr. Falwell passed away - that was a tough week for me last year. What's crazy is that the month prior I was at LU getting an award and Dr. Falwell and Granny met for the first time and then a month later they were in heaven together.

Easter Reflections

I am still processing all that God did this weekend. Unbelievable, historical, life changing are just a few words that come to mind.

The Egg Drop was off the hook. There are different estimates of how many we had - I don't know for sure - but there were a ton of people, thousands of people - like maybe 7000 people.
* Our volunteers were amazing!! I have never been more proud to be the pastor of this church as I was this weekend.
* We backed up traffic for miles - I never dreamed we would have that turn out.
* Children from all over the community had a blast!!
* Chick-fil-A sold all of the chicken in the southeast :)
* We had so many positive comments about the event. I had one gentlemen tell me he had lived in Spotsylvania since the 1970's and never seen a church give back the the community in this way.
* Did I mention how smooth the event ran as a result of our lead team planning well and our volunteers doing their thang!! I love you guys more that you know!!
* We had to turn away a lot of people that couldn't make it into the event - I really hated that but the Fairgrounds could only hold so much.
* We used the largest venue in the area - I don't know what we will do next year!

Easter Sunday:
* Three services this morning - loved preaching three times but I don't know how some of you guys preach 3 and 4 times each Sunday. I am shot - but I would do it all over again tomorrow!!
* I was a little concerned about how the crowd would be at the 8:30 service but our people came through in a big way. Lifepointers it just goes to show that you guys are committed to making room for more people to hear the gospel at optimal times. The 8:30 was packed out - awesome!!
* All three services were pretty even as far as attendance goes.
* We had 674 - the largest day in the history of the church.
* We had a ton of people make decisions - an estimated 50 people indicated a salvation decision - I am waiting to see what the connection cards show. Usually about half will let us know!
After working all day at the Egg Drop some of our volunteers were at the school at 6 am this morning making sure we were ready for the service. I am continually amazed by their commitment to the vision of reaching people who are far from God.
* I preached my heart out today.
* Their was an awesome spread at Volunteer Headquarters today. Thanks Elizabeth!!
* Lisa did a great job running production by herself for the first time. Kristen and her family are in Egypt - seriously!!
* I love this church and am so blessed to be a part of it!

Monday Reflections on Tuesday!

* Another awesome day Sunday! We broke another attendance record for a regular Sunday.
* We did major a upgraded our KIDSPOINT environment - it looked amazing!!
* Finished the min-series called QUAKE - talked about the power of a unified group of people laser focused on a single vision. Had a lot of fun - said some stuff that probably ruffled some feathers :)
* The band was rockin!!
* We baptized 15 people between the two services. I LOVE BEING A PART OF THAT!!
* The EGG DROP is only days away - there is such a buzz in the community about this event!!
* We are doing THREE services Easter Sunday - 8:30 am | 10:00 am | 11:30 am - it is going to be off the hook - invite everyone you know!
* I'm still upset about DUKE!
* I think on Sunday at 3 pm I am going to crash hard!! I have never preached three times in one morning - should be fun - can't wait!!
* So looking forward to moving into our office space!!
* Our volunteer's are off the hook, amazing!!
* We are praying hard for more space - if God doesn't open up something soon we will need a third service permanently!!
* I LOVE my family more and more each day!!
* I am so grateful for the spiritual heritage I have in my parent's - they invested some great eternal things into my life!!

Monday Reflections

* Yesterday was a great day! The first service was down a little but then they all showed up at the second service. Pipe and Drape was coming down all over the place - we filled all the chairs and opened the bleachers!! Almost another record breaking day!
* This series has been one of my favorites!
* The Egg Drop is only weeks away now - crazy how time is flying by.
* Can't wait for Easter Sunday - we are kicking off a series called Confessions of a Pastor - it's going to be raw.
* A two part series called QUAKE begins this Sunday - you don't want to miss this one!!
* Got to speak at Mosaic Church in College Park, MD last night where Darren Plummer is the Pastor. Great people and a great time! They are poised to Dominate!
* Ben Weiss drove me to Maryland and supported me with prayer while I preached - fun time hanging out with him. Lov'in some Red Robin!
* The band was suppose to do Liv'in on a Prayer by Bon Jovi - however during run through it wasn't up to our standards so Jeremy made the call to cut the song - I so appreciate his commitment to excellence.
* We had a group of potential church planters in from Liberty University yesterday. I really enjoyed hanging out with these guys. One of them, Chip Stallings, knows he is going to plant in Florida. The other guys are still seeking God's will. So glad that we can invest in their journey.
* Tammie and Owen were in Lynchburg this weekend - so glad they are home!!
